SPECIAL RECRUITMENT DRIVE FOR SC/ST/OBC

Applications are invited for the following posts :

1         Supervisor (Civil) (Reserved for OBC-01):
Diploma in Civil Engineering (3 years after SSC or 2 years after HSC) with minimum 50% marks and 5 years experience in supervising Bldg. construction works/maintenance works.  The candidates having experience in major hospital/hotels refurbishing works and maintenance works is preferred.

2          Scientific Assistant `B’ (Microbiology) (Reserved for SC-01):  
B.Sc.(Microbiology) + D.M.L.T. from a recognised University.  Preference will be given to those who have some experience in the relevant field.

3          Scientific Assistant `B’ (Rehabilitation Services) (Reserved for ST-01) :
B.Sc.(Occupational Therapy) from a recognised University with minimum one year experience.  Preference will be given to those having experience of orthosis and prosthesis.  The work involves Breast and Cervix cases, hence female candidates will be preferred.

4          Pharmacist `B’ (Reserved for OBC-01):
S.S.C. plus 2 years Diploma and 3  months training in Pharmacy along with registration with the Central or State Pharmacy Council duly allotted Registration Number.  One year experience in a large Hospital/Dispensary is essential.  Experience of working on computerised system desirable.  Candidate should be prepared to work in shifts duty, including night shift.

5          Tradesman `C’ (Tailor) (Reserved for SC-01):  
H.S.C. with minimum 50% marks in Science & Mathematics put together or S.S.C. with minimum 50% marks in Science & Mathematics put together and Diploma in Tailoring from a Govt. recognised Institute and 4 years experience in tailoring and cutting.

6          Lower Division Clerk(Reserved for SC-3 posts, ST-4 posts & OBC-2 posts):
H.S.C. plus Certificate Course in Computer Application from a recognised institute.  Preference will be given to graduates.  Candidate should have minimum one year clerical work experience.

PAY BAND & AGE LIMIT:

Age Relaxation for Physically Handicapped as per rules. The age will be reckoned  as on 10.04.2009. Age may be relaxable in cases of exceptional merit and qualifications and also for departmental candidates.

In addition to pay other allowances as admissible under Central Government Rules.  The Institution has an option either to offer scale of pay as mentioned above or consolidated pay for a fixed term contract basis to the selected candidates. On the recommendation of the Selection Committee, candidates may be offered a higher or lower grade than advertised depending on the qualifications, experience and performance in the interview and needs in respective Dept.

Appointed candidates may be placed as per needs of the Departments in the Tata Memorial Hospital and /or ACTREC at Navi Mumbai.

Application should be sent alongwith non refundable Demand Draft of Rs.100/- ( Rs. 25/- for SC/ST candidates)  drawn in favour of Tata Memorial Centre, Parel, Mumbai – 400012.

Out Station candidates called for interview will be reimbursed second railway fare(other than Rajdhani/Shatabdi/ Janshatabdi trains) by shortest route excluding reservation/superfast surcharge/safety surcharge, etc. from the candidate’s normal place of residence in India and back strictly on production of tickets and evidence indicating class of journey.

Typewritten Application superscribing the post applied for on the cover along with a recent passport size photograph affixed on right hand top corner with attested copies of all certificates should be forwarded to the H.R.D. Officer, Tata Memorial Hospital, Parel, Mumbai–400012 so as to reach him on or before 10.04.2009. Persons working under Central/State Government/Autonomous Body/Semi Government Organisations and other Public Sector Undertakings should submit their application through proper channel.

Names and addresses of Three Referees to be given by the candidate who should be closely linked to his training and experience within the last 5 years. (Applicable for Sr.No.1)
