Applications are invited for the following posts

1      Officer-In-Charge(Physiotherapy):
           Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy from a recognised University/Institute.  Post Graduation in any Rehabilitation discipline desirable.  Atleast 10 years experience in Physiotherapy work in a large Hospital/Institute.  Candidate should be well versed with Physiotherapy work.  Experience in Oncology centre will be given preference. 

2         Officer-In-Charge(Occupational Therapy):
           Degree/ Diploma in Occupational Therapy from a recognised Univesity/Institute.  Post graduation in any Rehabilitation discipline desirable.  Atleast 10 years experience in Occupational Therapy work in a large Hospital/Institute.  Candidate should be well versed with Occupation Therapy, Speech Therapy & Amputees, patients who need advise about Breast Prothesis and Wigs.  Experience in Oncology centre will be given preference.  The work involves Breast and Cervix cases, hence female candidates will be preferred. 

3         Scientific Officer ‘SB’ / ‘C’ (Pathology) :
M.Sc.(Life Sciences/Biotechnology) and preferably with a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized institute and atleast 5 years experience in a Histopathology Laboratory of  a large hospital/medical institution. Candidates with proficiency in English language and Computer Skills will be given preference.  Candidates with B.Sc. + D.M.L.T. and 5 years relevant experience will be considered for lower grade.

4         Scientific Officer `SB’/‘C’ (Haemato-Pathology):
M.Sc. with a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized institute and atleast 5 years experience in a busy Haematology Laboratory of a large hospital/medical institution doing routine haematology including coagulation tests.  The job responsibility comprises of running laboratory analysers, performing laboratory tests and Quality Control at routine and emergency hours. Knowledge of Flow Cytometry and molecular techniques is desirable.  Candidates with B.Sc. + D.M.L.T. and 5 years relevant experience will be considered for lower grade.

5          Institution Review Board(IRB) Administrator: 
M.Sc. in Life Science or Social Science from a recognised University.  The candidate should be trained in managing all functions of a busy IRB with good communication and organisational skills. Preference will be given to the person with sound knowledge and experience of clinical trials and data management in Medical Research. Working knowledge of computer will be essential with proficiency in MS Office viz. Word, Excel, Power Point and Internet. 

6          Assistant Public Relations Officer:      
Graduate with one year P.R. Diploma from a Govt. recognised Institution.  Minimum 5 years experience in a reputed organization with a flair for writing and good rapport with Media.  Persons should have a pleasing personality and good communication skills.  Will be required to do shift duties and outside liaison work.

7          Scientific Assistant `B’ (Dosimetry):
B.Sc.(Physics) with minimum 55% marks and Postgraduate Diploma in Radiotherapy Technology.  Preference will be given to those who have some experience in the field. 

8          Scientific Assistant `B’ (Microbiology):           
B.Sc. with 60% marks.  Candidate should have practical experience in Bio-medical Waste Treatment in a Hospital.

9          Pharmacist `B’:
S.S.C. plus 2 years Diploma and 3  months training in Pharmacy along with registration with the Central or State Pharmacy Council duly allotted Registration Number.  One year experience in a large Hospital/Dispensary is essential.  Experience of working on computerised system desirable.  Candidate should be prepared to work in shifts duty, including night shift.

10        Lower Division Clerk:
H.S.C. plus Certificate Course in Computer Application from a recognised institute.  Preference will be given to graduates.  Candidate should have minimum one year clerical work experience.

11        Clerk cum Telephone Operator:
Graduate from a recognised University with Telephone Operator’s Course with excellent communication skills and minimum one year experience of handling Exchange Board preferably EPABX and Radio Paging System Encoder in a reputed Institute/Hospital.  Ability to converse in English, Hindi and Marathi.  Will have to work in shift duties including nights, Sundays and Holidays and when required in Reception and other office area.

Age Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC). The age will be reckoned  as on 10.04.2009. Age may be relaxable in cases of exceptional merit ,qualifications and experience and also for departmental candidates.

In addition to pay other allowances as admissible under Central Government Rules.  The Institution has an option either to offer scale of pay as mentioned above or consolidated pay for a fixed term contract basis to the selected candidates. On the recommendation of the Selection Committee, candidates may be offered a higher or lower grade than advertised depending on the qualifications, experience and performance in the interview and needs in respective Dept.

Appointed candidates may be placed as per needs of the Departments in the Tata Memorial Hospital and /or ACTREC at Navi Mumbai.

Application should be sent alongwith non refundable Demand Draft of Rs. 100/-(Rs.25/-for SC/ST candidates) drawn in favour of Tata Memorial Centre, Parel, Mumbai – 400012.

Out Station candidates called for interview will be reimbursed railway fare(other than Rajdhani/Shatabdi/ Janshatabdi trains) not exceeding first class/AC-III Tier by shortest route excluding reservation/superfast surcharge/safety surcharge, etc. for Sr.No.1 to 5.  SC/ST candidates will be paid second class railway fare for Sr.No.6 to 11.  The train fare will be reimbursed from the candidates normal place of residence in India and back strictly on production of tickets and evidence indicating class of journey.

Typewritten Application superscribing the post applied for on the cover along with a recent passport size photograph affixed on right hand top corner with attested copies of all certificates should be forwarded to the H.R.D. Officer, Tata Memorial Hospital, Parel, Mumbai–400012 so as to reach him on or before 10.04.2009. Persons working under Central/State Government/Autonomous Body/Semi Government Organisations and other Public Sector Undertakings should submit their application through proper channel.

Names and addresses of Three Referees to be given by the candidate who should be closely linked to his training and experience within the last 5 years. (Applicable for Sr.Nos.1 to 6)
