EBM 2010

8th Annual Conference on
Evidence Based Management
of Cancers in India

Theme - Aggressive NHLs

February 26 - 28, 2010

The 8th Annual Conference on “Evidence Based Management of Cancers in India” will focus on the important facets of Aggressive Non-Hodgkin's Lymphomas (NHLs).

Aggressive NHL is one of the highly curable malignancies across all age groups. Last few decades have witnessed a spate of advances in both diagnosis and treatment of aggressive NHL. These advances have further improved the survival but at the same time generated controversies both at the level of diagnosis and treatment, prime example being Burkitt's like NHLs.

EBM 2010 will focus on current issues in diagnosis, staging and management of aggressive NHLs in all ages. During the course of this conference, we plan to examine and discuss the best available evidence pertaining to common clinical situations pertaining to aggressive NHLs as well as the controversial and contentious issues. Over the 3 days of the conference, a wide range of topics ranging from pathology issues, changing role of diagnostic modalities like PET scan, the optimum diagnostic pathways and therapeutic algorithm in the management of aggressive non-Hodgkin's lymphomas will be discussed. To discuss this evidence, we have invited eminent international and national faculty, renowned for their academic contribution and excellence in their respective specialties. There have been significant advances in all aspect of management of these cancers over the last decade and evidence behind these advances need to be reviewed critically and dispassionately in term of oncological outcome, morbidity, and quality of life considerations This evidence will then be collated to evolve evidence based guidelines which would be practicable in our country- both at an institutional level as well as for the practicing specialists.

Our EBM meetings are known for their high quality scientific content and interactive discussions in an academic ambience; and we assure you that we will continue this tradition in this meeting. The target audience will be all Medical and Pediatric Oncologists, Hematologists, Pathologists, Radiotherapists, Radiologists, Bio-imaging experts, Post-Graduates, Medical Students as well as other clinicians involved in the management of these cancers.

I invite you to participate in this conference and use this opportunity to take home clear evidence based guidelines which will ultimately translate into improved patient care.
